Door lock knobs

I needed door lock knobs for my 65 Satellite. All the usual resto parts places listed knobs to fit 64-74 A B & C bodies so I ordered a set. They are too big for the post. Does anyone know if the 63-65 B uses a different knob than later Bs or did they just send me the wrong part?

I believe the early B knobs are a different design than the later Bs, but the same thread size. I just got a set for my 64 from vansauto.com.

I ordered repros for my 69 GTX and they are also too big.

Can't you just fill the hole some with model glue to help it bite or re-drill as needed? I can offer no other help then this. Good Luck
