Got my door panels from legendary few days ago for 65 sate. I have to still use my original metal top piece. The piece that your window sweep attaches to and door look knob go's through. The metal piece on the original is staple on to the door panel board, through metal and all. The question is how to attach the new panel board to the metal piece. Don't have staple gun that staples through metal and crimps the back of the staples over. Can't use screws. Got to be flush mount. Not crazy about using glue. Any ideas? Thanks

Pop rivets. The front panel should use about six or seven, and the rear quarter panels should take about five.

You should be able to get a basic pop rivet gun for about $25.

I'm thinking with all the tremendous epoxy glues on the market (including good 'ol construction adhesive and a caulk gun) I'd get a bunch of clamps and get the job done. Just be careful that the chosen glue doesn't penetrate the panel to the point where it distorts or warps it. Something thick like the construction adhesive or JB Weld (5-minute cure) should work beautifully. Good luck with whichever method you choose.

I just had my local upholestry shop do them for me. Cost me $150.00. No head aches for me. They did an awesome job. I will post a pic but they used pop rivets. Very clean and flush mounted. If you spent the money like i did at Legendary it was well worth it.

i believe they are all the same. the repro ones really suck and are cheap so buy a couple extra. when you bend the undertabs go real easy and slow they are so brittle and cheaply made.
did i say made in CHINA!!
