Hey All,The Doug Header D452 I bought and installed on my 1965 coronet before I went on vacation don't fit on the passenger side (right side) seems to be close to the inner fender well and touching the torsion bar any one else have this problem?

Common with headers.
Unless they are the TTIs like I have on the 63 Dodge and the 70 hemi Bee.

Didn't we just discuss this?

If not, there is another "thread" on this forum dealing with the same issue, early B-body

-Check this old thread from TTI: http://www.ttiexhaust.com/PDF/II_TTI440-200.pdf

-Also, some tricks are to shim the Engine mount on that side, sometimes 1/4" will do.

-If none of these tips help, you can also use a thinner gasket and the above methods.

Last but not least: hook up a hoist, pull the motor mount bolts, and lift the engine enough to be able to wiggle it and see if it drops into place.

Of course the Headers will be CLOSE to the fender well.

Yes it was discussed on the best way to install, but now that they are on the right side hits the torsion bar.The link and the advise about shimming the engine mount was useful. Thanks for the the info ski

Hi Dave,
My TTIs are close on the Superbee pictured above.
But, sometimes all you need is a 1/4"

NOW: being "CLOSE" to the fender well, yes, this is common.

Darn, Headers can be nasty!

keep us posted.
