To all of you extremely intelligent people! Wat style nut goes on the drivers side air vent box? I’ve had mine apart for so long I don’t remember and all of my pictures don’t show them. Tanks as always

The picture I posted is from my unmolested 69 when I took it apart. The washer was made on to the nut. I would have to look to see if it is fixed to the nut or captured.

And I'll show you photos of the nuts I took off my 69 RR which I've owned since 1973 - and will be putting back on as soon as I get a new parking brake cable grommet.

Originals on left, new on right. However, keep in mind that these could have varied by year, model and plant.

Then both were used at sometime, mine are a nut attached washer.

Yes, I have parted many cars out and I have seen both styles nuts used. Depends on what factory built the car, but don't ask me which one did what. I haven't documented which one used what.

Wow thanks for all of the info!!! I really appreciate it. Mine apparently had the stamped steel nuts. It is a St. Louis car
