Looking for thoughts/opinions on my fit. How much would a minimum spline engagement be for a slip in yoke?

What I have is a 67 BB 727, 29/30 output shaft...hooking up to a 67 model 8 3/4" rear, with a 1330 yoke (what was on it), type that takes straps. Question on that shortly.

Had a driveshaft made locally, by a guy who has a good rep...okay. Gave him all needed info/measurements. Provided a new 29/30 7290 slip yoke, since I decided I wanted 7290 joints, using a combo 7290/1330 u-joint at the tail end. (IF I have to do anything on the axle down the road, I'll change out that yoke.)

Have to get where I can see straight again (hell, and only have one eye!!), but will look hard at the length deal, when I un-hook the tail end of the shaft. Just thinking maybe shaft is a little short.

Other thing I'm fighting is the blasted straps. Three sets now, last ordered online from where I bought the slip yoke. (Driveshaft outfit) Same strap kit part #, but photo showed dif strap #s.
All these strap kits are Spicer. Kit came in...same damn straps. Problem...they don't fit...bolt holes too far apart. Before you ask, yeah, positive rear yoke is a 1330.
Or, would I be better off DRILLING the threaded bolt holes out of the yoke, and put in u-bolts?

I have two 1330 yokes, one is thread and the other one is drilled for U-bolts, both seems to be original, these where used at 1966-67 at C-bodys if I'm correctly informed.

Should have around 1 1/4" of slip yoke showing once it's in the trans and bolted to the rear.....

1 1/4" total or 1 1/4" of polished material showing?
I'm also having an issue with my driveshaft and I'd rather not start another thread.

Push the yoke all the way in (don't slam it) and then pull it out about 1". I don't like having less than an 1" showing. That's getting a bit too much inside the trans. You have to have enough out for the rear end to go through it's travel under acceleration. When you jump on it, the rear end will pivot upwards and will shove the drive shaft forward a bit plus you will have a bit of movement in the rubber front spring eyes that will also shove the drive shaft in.....

Appreciate it, guys! Both my 727, and 8 3/4" rear came out of 67 Dodge Coronets, different cars though. Never gave a second thought on the rear axle yoke, 'assuming' off a B-body, it was the right one. Guess it goes with the overall build of each car.
I'll check my slip yoke fit, just to feel okay on it. Used to go by the clearance amount from rear yoke to rear u-joint, once slip yoke is pushed all in. Also have the trans seal with the extended 'cup' on it, and a good inch of shaft exposed past it.
Probably make the half hour drive back to the driveshaft guy, see what he makes of these blasted straps, might have a set that fits.
I hate all this little BS.

Welp...for what it's worth...
Have good spline engagement on the slip yoke.
Other end not so good. Here's what I'm looking at...as mentioned before, real sure my rear yoke is a 1330 (?)... All the measurements for the yoke/u-joint are correct. Seating the u-joint into the yoke is good. This yoke has the tabs that center the u-joint. One thing I noted, but might be typical of most, is when the u-joint is bottomed into the yoke, the caps are more than halfway in.
Strap thing a different deal. 1330 strap bolts measure center to center 1.587". The bolt holes in this end yoke are only 1.5" apart. Big difference!
Also noted when I simply held the 1330 straps to the u-joint (seated into the yoke), did not come close to getting against the cap.
More research says for a strap with 1.5" hole to hole, is for a 7260! Spicer's straps for that are no longer available, though a few others are.
Any ideas on what the heck I have (besides a big mess)?

Had a talk with a driveshaft tech, and he had no answers on the rear yoke bit. But, ordered a 7260 strap kit...1.5" hole to hole...should bolt up. Should get me there.
