Driveshaft question

I have a 65 4 speed with the yoke on it for the pin and trunion driveshaft. I thought I had the correct driveshaft but I have the smaller diameter driveshaft and need the larger one. Can I convert this to slip yoke without removing the transmission?

Yes,and build a shaft with a new big yokes!

Can I just take off the round yoke off of the transmission and use a slip yoke even though there is a threaded end?

No....LOL.Need to change the output shaft,maybe the tailshaft
