Wondering what driveshaft you guys are going with. I was looking at an aluminum one from Mancini's, with 1350 u-joints. I am going to try and find an extra 489 case and build it with 4.56's, billet yoke, etc.... and figured while i was at it might as well do driveshaft too ! ... try to eliminate most of the weak areas at once !!

Call dynatech in Troy,Mi.I was told thats were mancini's gets theres from.I have two right now from them.Customer service A+ as quality and pricing. They ship at very fair rates,if you work them hard they may throw in the shipping.:evil6:

call mark williams. mancini gets theres from inland empire out of ca.
strange also makes a great one. i went with the mark williams aluminum one in my hemi car and a chromoly one in my 63 max wedge. mark williams stuff is the best.

Have a Mancini driveshaft in my car for 3 years with no issues. They use a place called Victory Automotive as a supplier.

Yep Victory Driveline in my 65 Coronet. I talked with a rep from Victory at the 2010' Monster Mopar Weekend. They make them for Mancini,Strange,A&A Trans and a few other companies. Told them what I had, what I would be doing ect...

Erik, Give Rick at A&A a call 817 831-3066. 3" DOM, 1350 joints and slip yoke $285 shipped to my door. Rick has them polish and clearcoat it also. VERY NICE

I also went with Victory because they help sponser the NSS series.

strange here chrome moly 3 1/2" 1350 ends

Are the Mancini ones no good ??

me too. i wouldnt trust mancini with a driveshaft if my life depended on it.
i can tell you at least 4 times in the last 3 years mancini has made mistakes on my orders.
They have no clue on whats going on. they are just order takers.

I use to think that Mancini was the best but the more I dealt with them I found out that they are rude. They act like you are putting them out when you call to order something. I still order from them from time to time but they are not my first choice anymore.

I got lucky when I ordered mine. Victory wrote the order wrong. I ordered a 3" DOM shaft and they sent me a 3" ChromeMoly shaft for the price of a 3" DOM. They called me a week after I got it and told me they made a mistake. I thought they were going to ask me to split the difference but they said "Congrats, We took the order wrong, it wasn't your fault and thanks for your business". He said something about writing chromemoly down for the joints and the guy who built it thought it meant for the whole shaft. Who was I to complain. That was the shaft I wanted in the first place but only had $300

How about posting the number or website for victory? Thanks.

Not sure if they have a website. I have no number for them either. I ordered mine from A&A Transmission

yesh, im not trying to spend crazy $$$ on a shaft, but i do want a decent one ! so what are the pro's / con's of aluminum vs. chromemoly ??

I'm all new to this, so please forgive me. Any particuliar reason why I would go with a 3.5" one over a 3.0" one? Or vise-versa?

aluminum driveshafts are lighter and have less rotating mass. they do have a lifespan but doubt you'll ever see it in your application. i run an aluminum in my hemi belvedere.802 ft. lbs. torque.

3.5" is in my cars as they make quite a bit of torque and horsepower. 3" is for a lower hp level.
also the diameter is also determined on how long you need your driveshaft.
Mark Williams makes ther's in house and are by far the best ones out there. Strange also makes theres in house which is a close 2nd in quality.

Victory Performance, Dennis Mothershed, (515) 282-9996.....He supports NSS and is the title sponsor for the MNSS series- makes a fine driveshaft- tell him Fugly sent ya....

Thanks Fugly. I knew someone would have the number. I need to write that number down. I have had a few guys ask me about my driveshaft now. The sponsorship of the NSS race was one of the reasons I went with them in my car.
