dual-circuit master cylinder for 1966 Dart?

Hi all,
I'm almost certain I'll be getting a 1966 Dodge Dart with a 225 slant-six this coming weekend or next week. I'd like to change the single-circuit master cylinder to a safer two-circuit master cylinder. Would, say, a 1967 Dart two-circuit master cylinder work on the 1966? I'm pretty sure the 1966 is manual drum brakes front-and-back. Thanks for any advice. This will be a daily driver for my wife, so I want it to be as safe as possible.

Yes, Get a 67 or newer MC and proportioning valve. I had to use an adjustable valve on my 63 because the rears would lockup on even moderate braking. If the valve you get has a low pressure switch you can wire it to a warning light on the dash, for even more safety. First car I bought for my wife was a 71 Dart with the 225 engine. It served us well.

A wheel cylinder blew on my 66 Satellite while driving and with the single pot master that means no brakes at all. I made it home (barely!) and swapped the master and prop valve from a '67 before I drove it again. half brakes are better than none!
