Hi All- I'm working on a 360 and am going to swap out the current carb for a Holley Dual Feed.

How many of you are using in-line fuel pressure regulators, and if you are, what are you using and where are you measuring the pressure?

I've seen some setups where pressure is measured before, between the feed lines, and some where the pressure is measured on the outlet side of the furthest feed line.

What fuel pump are you using? Dual feed isn't the issue regarding pressure regulators, it's the pump.

@66Satellite47 stock replacement fuel pump on a 74 360. It's not an original but one of the standard replacements from the local auto store.

I sure can't imagine you need a pressure regulator for a stock fuel pump. Regulators are used with high pressure aftermarket (usually electric) pumps. Going to a dual feed just needs the correct size dual feed line. You can go fancy & get a dual feed with a filter/pressure gauge. You may be interested in fuel pump output pressure.

Thanks @slepr1. Are you using braided fuel lines? Any issues with vapor lock?

Yes I've used the shiny metal cased braided lines for years. Just this spring I changed them all to the black nylon braided hoses. No vapor lock.

I sure can't imagine you need a pressure regulator for a stock fuel pump.

I agree especially since its a Holley. I used to have a TQ carb on it, which needed a pressure regulator. But if you want one anyway they are cheap.
