Bolting up the transmission and although 3/8" seems to fit it feels loose, is this the right size?

Auto 727 or manual?
I know the bolts to the 727 to block (Hemi) are small.
2 big ones on bottom and like 4 small ones, 2 up top and 2 on sides.
Crying out loud, I cant remember if they were 5/16s or 3/8s on the 727s.

if it catches but feels real loose make sure its not a metric bolt mixed in on accident.also check for worn bolt or pulled threads in hole.on std bolts the wrong size should almost slip in and out of the hole freely or not go in at all.

727 but the threads are in the block on the sides. They are std. threads, no metric.

all mopar bellhousing bolts (that I know of) are 3/8 - 16tpi.

Well I guess I will get back to work then!
