Folks, I'm not sure the color is right? To me it is looking like a Ford color? Enclosed are a few pics.

If that's a factory Six Pack engine I believe they and their air cleaners were all orange. The DUPLICOLOR DE1631 is what I painted my 1973 340 and it looks just right and just like your pictures.

I have had this happen with Duplicolor Chrysler blue. 2 cans from the same store and one was closer to Ford blue. Took it back and the next can was correct.

John, you are correct. I figured it is not original so I would just do it in blue to be a little different.

The best rattle can Chrysler blue I have found is Plasticoat. Duplicolor always seemed to thin and inconsistent to me.

I used Dupli-color corporate blue on my Chargers 440, turned out very nice. On my Trans Am however, KBS Seal makes an 'engine coater' that i used which i believe is better still. The Pontiac color was spot on. Also plan to use their XTC header paint for its exhaust manifolds although mine are ceramic coated, might as well paint it the same color as the engine.

Not on a 1972 model ( no, it's not one of those super-rare ones ) it's not factory. But, I like the out-of-the-box thinking, with the Chrysler blue engine !!

That looks like the correct Chrysler blue to me. I have never had any issues with the Duplicolor Hemi orange.
