HI All,

First day on the forum.

I'm a car guy in the San Francisco Bay Area. I've had my current car since 1998. (Still not done yet, but it is driveable and mostly enjoyable)

It's a 1970 Grand Coupa Convertible. Originally a 318/auto, B3/B5 car. Now it's done in triple black, 426 hemi, 4 speed, rally dash, driving lights, red hockey stick. I rotate rims from rallys to Weld Racing wheels. I've attached a pic of the car to the intro.

I'm formulating the build of my next car. I want a 69 GTX or RR convertible. (maybe satellite or belvedere.)

Here is what I'm trying to find. I don't LOVE the 68/9 air grabber hood. So I want to put a 70 style air grabber hood on the 69. Does anyone have any pictures of a 1968 or 1968 plymouth b body (convert or hardtop) with a 70 style air grabber hood?

Right now leaning towards an SRT8 engine with a stick in the car... Copper with Tan leather interior.

But here's the car that I currently have..

Also, why the B Body?
I have young kids and they really can't comfortably drive in the cuda. I've had about 30 cars so far, but I want a ton more. I've had 65 satellite, 65k miles, turquoise in and out, 2nd owner car, 70 charger, 70 challenger 2 other 70 cudas, 3 66 belvederes/satellites, 68 coronet 500 convert, red, nice car....

Welcome to FBBO....you have a really nice 'Cuda there.

Oh yeah....had one E body rag top...a 70 Challenger 440 RT and like a dumb ***, I sold it mainly because of my X didn't like it. The dang thing was loaded too and I knew I had something that would be worth a small fortune later on. Now I'm separated again after 31 years of marriage and well, there just won't be another marriage. Anyways, my first car was a 66 Belvedere II which my present wife got plenty of shot gun time n and well, she knows that I still drive like I did back then and she now hates that. Still have a Belvedere I 2dr post (have 2 of them) and hope to get it back together before I die.

The B Bodies ride SOOOOO much better than the eBodies. But I have 2 kids. I need to have a convert for each. I'm wanting an SRT8 powered 69 RR Vert, but we will see. I have a clean 440/at in the garage just waiting for the next project.

Welcome Tomcat. Great looking EEEEEEE Body!

Good luck in your quest, should be something out there.

Welcome. Nice car. True about the B Body ride. Comfortable by comparison. Don't forget the Mopar Alley Show at Deanza on June 11 if you can make it down to the South Bay.

Check out tripleblackattack on youtube.
