Hey guys I've always meant to fix my e brake, i press down and it makes ticking sounds then comes back up. I saw I can buy the cable at autozone so I was wondering do you think it's the cable or is there something else that could be broken or missing?

Before you change out the cable soak it in Wd or grahite. Even oil, its probably rusty inside. I had the same problem.
If its too far gone after 24 hours of soaking, get one from fine lines. they make great repro cables.

Thanks SSR, i'll try that. You do mean where the pedal is correct?
