Put them in my my 2wd dakota 4.7. This is when they first came on the market. I don't think they are worth the extra money but I've had zero problem also. Save the money.
My son in law works at Borg-Warner and they have seen many failures of those small tipped plugs. The tips have known to break off and caused engine damage.
Electricity is predictable in that it will always find the path of least resistance. The spark that jumps the gap will only be in one spot at a time because of this.
The "proof" that E-3 displays on TV actually proves this for you.... Each discharge in slow motion will show ONE spark jump at a time.... They lead you to believe that because you have several ground wires attached to the Plugs shell, you'll have multiple sparks (AT THE SAME TIME) giving you a more complete combustion.....
This simply is not true,,,, you will not have multiple sparks at the same time because of the spark plug design!!!!!!!!!
if your motor improves with a plug indexing then these may do something, but it sure aint much.just a easy way to uncover the electrode.most motors will feel no diff at all.same thing"split fires"used to do.that company failed and this one will as well.
I ran them in a Mazda 3 4-banger (2.3) and they reduced some detonation I was getting and made it run a bit smoother. Put them in my old Dakota 4.7. Neither was a big difference in power or anything but never had trouble with them. They did significantly help that mazda with the ping though...
