How early in 1962 was the 1963 Dodge produced with the 426 Max Wedge?

Anyway, it looks like the first '63 MW Dodge was shipped on September 13th, '62.

BTW- the first '63 Polara 500 shipped was 6432106396 on the 22nd of September. It was a low compression auto car with a heater and seat belts.

Thanks for all the great information. I just got Darrell's book. I assume that Plymouth was earlier? Darrell said that the number of Dodges was about 3/4 the number of Plymouth Max Wedges.

Ours was built on Sept 20th 62 and shipped to Earl Ike Dodge in Inglewood CA on Sept 22nd.

Unfortunately it had a 361 back then, so definetely no cigar :icon_mrgreen:
