Early B Body 4 Speed Value

I've been gathering parts for a 4 speed conversion for my 64 Sport Fury. I've found a transmission not far from where I live, talked with the owner (seems to be an honest fellow) and am about to make the trip to look at it. Its from an early B body and has the bolt on drive shaft yoke which is the same as my 64. I'd appreciate any comments on what is a fair price to pay.

What's he asking and what are you willing to spend? Between those two numbers I believe you will find fair value for both of you.

With linkage? Offer him $500 and go from there. Pretty good price to start the bargaining regardless.

Thanks. Bought it and the shifter for 650.00. It's in great condition, case was powder coated.
