Hi guys, was hoping someone with a 62 (63-65 would probably work) split bench could measure the wide of the vinyl around the outside of the cloth insert, like from the edge of the seat in on the bottom and top/ front and back.. My seats didn't have original covers and i'm having some made but have no idea how wide that is... Pic of seat of the type i'm trying to mimic, thanks

BTW. if anyone has this type of seat, i would kill for some good pics of the front and back of the front seat and few pics of the rear.. i'm not trying to make a concours car, but would like it to be decent looking..

I can get pictures, but not sure what measurements you want.

From the front edge of the seat to the edge of the vinyl, and top of the seat to the where the vinyl meets the cloth..

Mine is a 62 Dodge, not sure if they are the same, but I can do that later today.

Thanks a ton.. and if it's a bench with vinyl/cloth anything would work.. i just don't want to guess and make it look silly..

i-t, here's my '63 front bench. The cloth arcs somewhat, across the length. I'm guessing the dimension you want, varies year and model, and material used ? Mine is 3"- 3 1/4" across the front, and they have been redone.

This is my '65 Coronet survivor, 5" :::

Looks like a range of 3" to 5", depending on model ???

The measurement is from the bottom 0f the seat to the seam where the cloth meets. The picture of the seat corner is how it looks on all 4 seat corners.

Thanks a ton! that will help... and that cloth is a trip, i like it :)
It's original seat cloth reproduced by
SMS. There was enough of the seat covers left that they were used for the correct layout.

Yeah, mine were recovered by someone in the 70's and it's sooo bad.. they didn't even use the originals as patterns thats why i'm trying to get an idea on how to go :)
