Sr. Was the test driver for the Kit Car program that DC was working on ‘74. The prototype wore Challenger sheet metal.

I admit I never have been a Dale Sr. fan. RIP. I did not know he started out in a mopar or DC had him testing.
The first Nascar races I watched Petty and his 74 charger. I was a big fan..the car was cool and he dominated.. I remember how exciting it was!
