No worries Mr. Paris. It was inappropriate on my part and should've been left untyped. (If you get the chance, click on that website underneath my signature and it may illustrate things a bit better. With that being said, everybody has to start somewhere.)

Good luck with the sale.

powder coating kit is still available.. price reduced during lent to $200+ shipping

i finally clicked on your website.. and a couple of comments

I have done a number of parts with the east wood set, n all of the parts came out like new money... the key , as with anything is the prep... prep it properly and the end result is excellent..

will the end result be as long lasting as your professional job... that I don't know, but parts I did 5-6-7years ago look as good as the day they were done... and at a 'small-fraction' of what u would charge..

obliviously u cant powdercoat a chassis with this kit, but few people do, but for a bit smaller parts in my experience this kit does an excellent job

Considering you never contacted me for a quote on anything, I have a tough time deciding how it would 'be a small fraction' of what I would charge but won't argue the point. If you're happy that's what matters.

What I know is that I went through FIVE of Eastwood's so-called Pro 1100 Powder Guns in less than one year. The POS would quit working, I would box it up and return it, and the replacement would last a month or so and eventually die too. After taking advantage of the manufacturer's one year warranty over and over again, Eastwood attributed my continuing problems to ME (after a decade in the industry) and, after sending out the fifth warrantied gun, then fired me as a customer after 19 years and thousands of dollars worth of loyal patronage!

So what it came down to is that they sold a crappy product -- an expensive crappy product -- that they wouldn't stand behind and that was somehow my fault.

The most telling aspect of my story is that Eastwood no longer even sells the thing and my fabulous Hypersmooth, purchased during my fifth incident of downtime waiting for another piece of crap Pro 1100 from Eastwood, has been a faithful and truly outstanding workhorse for several years now without so much as a hiccup.

But if you got such amazing results that you're now trying to sell it off to somebody else, more power to ya!

It's probably fairly obvious now why I amended my first post and chose not to share this earlier, but your rather smart-assed reply kind of warranted a response on my part.

Good luck with the sale.

my reply was not intended to be 'smart-***', but since u think it was

yes I have had fine results using the kit... if u are a 'pro', why are you using a consumer gun??... and since u used it for a year, how are the coatings holding up on the parts u coated for customers... any complaints/returns?? and if so did u honor them , and did u tell your customers that the reason for the lousy results were because u used a 'consumer' gun to coat their parts?

I have no need any longer for the kit, hence the sale.. its quite possible that I got one of the 'non-defective' guns... i'll make u a deal on the kit so u can use it in your 'pro' business...

Come on Paris,
You an OK guy.
But please do not READ too deeply into a post.

Their service stands above merit.

She also has a tremendous sense of humor...

The setup I purchased WAS for 'professional' use -- that's presumably why they named it the Pro 1100. It didn't coat badly when it worked. But even a hobbyist would get upset by wasting good money on a nonperforming product.

I never had any customers complain about the results themselves, but the downtime experienced while waiting for another replacement gun caused a lot of concern. I just hope you are more willing to work with your purchaser after the sale than the company you bought it from was.

Super Ski, thank you for the kind words and for doing your part to moderate this. You should know though there isn't a big team here lol ... Billy helps me with some blasting and handles the shop maintenance but everything else I do personally.

Again, good luck with the sale paris. I hoped my experience was an isolated incident but forum posts elsewhere and the other PMs I've received indicate that's not the case.
