Easy start

My Guzzls start immediately with little to no choke. The secret is to jet them properly.
Do the carbs on the 79 Zooks have pumps? I don't remember for sure. I don't think my 80 GS 1000 did.

Yes, the '79 was last yr of VM carbs. '80 they went to CV carbs.

I had a 83 GS750E and it was a rocket ship except for when the stator went bad and had to wait 6 months for one to get shipped from Japan as there were none available in the US at the time. Other than that it would start up instantly every time.
This picture was taken at my girlfriends house and you can see the back of her 68 Impala above and to the right of the bushes you can barely see my 62 Valiant that everybody in high school called the Bat Mobile.

That's right! And didnt they go to electronic ignition in 80 also?
Yes, '80 for Suzuki. '79 for Honda. I put electronic ignition in mine, header and jetted it. The engine has never been apart. Once warm, can Kickstart by hand. Dyno'd at 75hp from basically a stock '79 750cc. Pulls till 12,000rpm.
