Sure wish I was close, would love to have it. I'd even go $2 just to show I'm not cheap.

Selling on e-bay, I start almost everything I sell for somewhere around the .99 mark. People will see it, KNOW it's too cheap for what's selling, and even tho they don't really need it, they will bid on it. You have your first bid. Someone else sees it for the .99 bid, and will say it's too cheap, and bid on it as well. It's now $1.49. Still too cheap, you have another bidder... once that happens you have 2 or 3 people who are emotionally involved with the sale now, it was "their" win until they were outbid. Once the emotions are involved, you may end up with a bidding war. In 12 years or so of selling there, most with a low starting bid, I can only think of maybe twice I lost money on the sale, and way more often than not, the auction went above what I'd have liked out of the piece, just because there were so many bids and emotions involved.

It,ll go up to 3 or 4 hundred...I can get a 440 with tranny with only 62,000 miles for 400 bucks here in northern calif...I,m lookin for a 400...
