So i found a "gtx" on ebay. 1970. Looks pretty good. As i look thru the pics it shows the vin rh46... that cant be right. A 1970 satellite station wagon not a gtx. So i email the guy to see whats up. No reply but today he adds that the car is actually a sport satellite turned into a gtx. So my question is with less than 2 days left should the post be reported? I would hate for someone to get screwed for not knowing any better. Oh the bid is up to 9100..what do yall think

Yes, I would and have in the past. I'm not a hard *** but not right is "Not Right", there is no grey area there for me.

Kinda what i thought. I emailed him to give him a chance with no reply. Even if i get it kicked off ebay i still think someone will buy it because they dont know. Before i got in to b bodies i didnt

That's the bad thing about ebay, no communication between buyer and seller, and even less knowledge unfortunately that's how it will probably turn out is someone getting ripped off.. it's a god damn shame people have to lie..

If ebay wanted to do it right, they would attach those reports to the auction.

They also used to allow bidders to see who other bidders were. I can see why they stopped that, but at least there was some way to warn people.

You should post a link to his auction...then anybody on here that reads it and has an ebay account should flood the guy with questions about the vin !!!

I won't buy anything on ebay that i can't go and look at first. Some sellers list their phone number which is really helpful to get an idea who you're dealing with. I recently looked at a 68RR that did not look as good as the pictures posted on ebay.
Have a great New Year, Ken

WOW....this is weird. just yesterday i received an email from ebay. i had a bass guitar built in the likeness of a fender jazz bass. because fender did not make this...i was asked to put a disclaimer in my post. i think this dude should have to do the same thing..REPORT HIM!

i emailed this dude to give him a fair shot of being honest :

not sure if you are aware of this , but this car IS NOT a GTX. it is more likely a satellite or a sport satellite. GTX's DO NOT have a small block. all came from the factory with a big block 440 or a hemi. what you have here is what we call a CLONE. i would suggest to you to relist this car. you could seriously get in a lot of trouble!

helpin a brother out Dave!

Take a look at his feedback. Complaints of lies and mis-representation. He only has 86 feedback replies and a score of 87...:icon_fU:
Any smart buyer would RUN from this one and never look back.

But, you are right, someone will not do their homework and buy with their heart, not their head and be taken for a ride.:angryfire:

ther is a disclaimer at the bottom now saying its a done over satilite.

I saw this post as well and thought it was wrong. I just looked again and in 12/30 he added all the way at the bottom of the description below all the pics that it's a satellite sport made into a GTX. Very hard to notice though.

The VIN has been changed. Whoever buys that and tries to register it will more than likely have problems with it, maybe even fed problems, maybe not even be able to register it and might even face confiscation of the vehicle. They guy does say it is a sports Satellite, but he doesn't tell it's from a Wagon. That is HUGE problems. I reported it as well.

The vin was either taken from a 9 pas. wagon or the complete dash was used from the wagon. I don't have an E-bay account or I would contact them and make sure someone knows so nobody gets screwed. Somebody with an account should E-mail E-bay. I did try until it come up that I need an account to contact somebody.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!

If you would have read the heading you would know that it was not a GTX with a 318,next the dash and engine pictures,it's not that hard to figure out.

Made into GTX? The 318 with A/C gave that away
and, just putting GTX emblem, doesn't even make it close to being a GTX.

Clone or not isnt my issue. Yes we can tell but how many people cant. Yeah i saw the 318 and knew it was a clone instantly but the vin floored me. I know at least 3 others besides myself have reported after reading everyones comments. The vin comes back as a 4 door 9 passenger station wagon (satellite). But as of right now its still listed. If someone wants to buy it, I'll swear in court i contacted the seller and ebay....
