Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone has bought and used any of the ebay advertised UCA’s such as this one. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/35106360...-WoBY3sGryMU5ZSz5MlBYvZU5PDHJHHRoCK8gQAvD_BwE
I’m really looking for advice from those who have actually tried these UCAS. It would save a lot of trouble if these were a fit and forget option as opposed to rebuilding the OEM ones after 50+ years of abuse. Quality and safety are the obvious concern, thanks.

You can buy them from PST who are a site sponsor, will give you a 10% discount, and have decent after sales service. I've had my PST ones on for 3 years, no issues.

Yes, good point. However, I live in the UK and postage costs vary dramatically. I’ve seen the same item with postal rated that vary by 100% at times. The ones above were cheap postage. I’m not in a hurry, so I’ll check what rates PST quote

Ive used them with no issues, fit was spot on . been in the car for about 4 years now. ( customers car ) and never heard of any problems

Be careful I found the rolled edge on the top carried too far towards the inside of the wheel well.
The would have hit so I cut them off more like the originals.
A couple of the bushings were not even a press fit. Had to replace two of them.

Mmm, thanks, worth knowing. Get why you pay for it seems

Also, while they may or may not fit, for '71-'74, you will need to remove one side to install the pivot rod and re-install the bushing.

Ok, this would be for a ‘67 Coronet.

Ebay sent me 2 left ones... That was awesome after the car was torn down to replace both... So this should tell you something about Ebay.

That should tell you something about that particular seller anyway. I don't think Ebay itself offers anything for sale besides shares on the stock market. :)
