Eddie Money has revealed that he is currently battling stage 4 esophageal cancer. The rocker – who canceled his summer tour dates following heart valve surgery – discussed the diagnosis in a new clip from his AXS TV series Real Money.

“I thought I was going in for a check-up and [the doctor] told me I have cancer,” Money said. “We found out that I had cancer and that it was stage 4 and that it was in my liver and my lymph nodes and a little bit in my stomach… It hit me really, really hard.”
He does looks like death warmed over, guess that's what the booze & drugs do?

Oh man that sucks. He did like to party. He had some notable hits and I hope he is able to hold on to life a little longer. I hate that ****(cancer) with a vengence....

Honestly, he didn't look that good 40 years ago either.

I remember a story long *** time ago that he got really drunk and was also on downers, passed out and didn't move for over 24 hours. The pressure on that side of his body that he was lying on basically when numb and created a stroke like condition from lack of blood flow. I think he rehabbed for like 8 months to get the use of his body back. It takes all kinds!

Wow that sucks !

He played at my county fair a few years ago.

Side note, my brother is an electrician, when he was younger he did alot of work at schools, sometimes with other companies & trades. Plumbers, masons, roofers or flooring ect.
He told me one job there was a plumber who's claim to fame was that he was related to Eddie Munny's coke dealer. Lol what a loser

I picked him and his daughter up at the airport. She has been watch over him. Had to drag him out of the airport bar. He was playing at one of the casino's in Phoenix. It's sad to see talent wasted that way. Sorry for the cancer but it was his doing.

Years back, a buddy told me about one of EM's concert shows. EM comes out on stage stumbling and grabs the microphone. He is holding up two strips of paper, props for his schtick:
"I got two tickets...Two tickets....I got two tickets..."
My thoughts:
For what? DUI ?
Drunk and disorderly?
Two tickets to rehab? What ??

Rock and Roll Party. Love his music. Just like Ronnie says...

Saw him in Tucson about 1980, openers for Santana. Drunk off his ***, being an asshole to 'hic town' Tucson. One song while one of the guitar players was being spotlighted and winding up hard in his lead solo, Money is swinging his microphone by the cord & let too much cord slip through his fingers & clocked the guitar player right up side of his head & knocked Him flat on His ***.......that song was burned beyond recognition.

That **** (cancer) killed my mom. It's no fukkin joke. Like Eddie or not , I don't wish that on anybody

Had a great friend who was also a fantastic trumpet player diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. He seemed healthy. One month to the day he was gone. Sad.

At 57, I have friends who are gone. Band members of the music I loved as a teenager and in my 20s, and still listen to today are dead or dying...
So...this is what it's like to get old...
RIP Eddie Money, and all the others who have gone before you, and may soon follow.

RIP Eddie, it looks like you will only need one ticket to paradise! Your music helped me get through the dismal disco era! Thanks Eddie!
