Well I got lucky I bought a set of brand-new Victor Max wedge heads for 1100 bucks now I just got to decide whether I want to port them and polish them or just put them on

Good price. How did you get that deal?
Get rocker arms. The T&D ones have a 0.725" offset intake rocker.
Mock up the heads, and check for pushrod clearance, you might need to do some grinding for pushrod clearance, so don't assemble the heads until after checking the pushrod clearance. My heads came with valve stem seals, are these the heads that come with the Edelbrock valves, or bare heads that someone added valve to? Just curious?
The cost of the rocker arms, valve spring seats/cups, valve springs, retainers, locks, and lash caps (if used) adds up really quick.
If your going to run a big solid roller (over 0.700"+ lift, 700+ spring rates), look at the T&D #8244 paired 5/8" shaft rocker system.

I would at least gasket match the intake ports. Mine just had a rough cut at the port opening that may have been into the port 1/2"?
Blend the bowls to valve seat inserts too.

Nice score, the t&d rockers are nice that’s what I went with. I’d you call Harland sharp they’ll make you a set of .725 offset for about $1200

That is a smokin deal.

They aren’t great ootb, and you should at least have the guide clearances and valve job checked.

Wow I didn't know rocker arms were that expensive for these things I'm not happy about the price I guess I'll have to start checking into that but that's okay I think I already have my old upper half sold anyways so that will cover the cost of my rocker arms

And for the guys who want to know where I got them from on Facebook there's a thing called Marketplace they popped up on there for 1200 bucks like 4-5 weeks ago and at that time I was kicked off Facebook so I couldn't contact them about him then all of a sudden when I wasn't kicked off Facebook all of a sudden they popped up again they never sold I bought them

I picked up my t&d rockers on this forum for $1000, pretty good deal considering they are almost 1500 new

I have the same heads. I'm running Hughes 1.6 rockers, no problems but you'll need to check / correct the pushrod clearance. Always best to have them checked over before running them. A tight guide can cause a lot of damage.

I've been kind of down on these heads because I hadn't seen any that had really run big numbers. My friends 68 Cuda 572, Indy cross ram, Victors went 9.08@146@3185lbs. Pretty decent .

The two things that keep me from recommending them when someone is looking to make “big power” are the short spring installed height and the fairly wimpy rocker stands.

It’s not like they’re really any cheaper than Indy -1’s(if you’re paying normal price)....... and the -1’s are just easier to use for builds in that 750-900hp range.

Okay there is a guy on the internet selling rocker arm assemblies for 440 - 1 Indy heads and he says they will work on Victor heads is this true or possible?

What’s the offset on the intake rockers? .725 offset is ideal according to Harland sharp and t&d. I read that a 650 or 600 offset will work also on Hughes site.

I run the Hughes rockers. Off the top of my head they’re .660 offset? Anyways, 2 years and no problems. No change in adjustment between maintenance. I have the 1.6 ratio on the max wedge Victor. I did have to clearance for the pushrods though.
