electric vacuum system ?

i need an electric vacuum pump system for brakes. any recommendations greatly appreciated. it is for a 4 wheel disc set up and mostly street use. #1 concern is reliability. #2 is ease of installation. :eusa_think:

My friend just bought a vacum canister from The speed shop in Blennham Ont,(Westside Speed Shop)i beleive it was made by Comp Cams,This maybe all you need .It was $65.Hope this helps

How about a hydro boost? Do you have power steering? If so you can tie it into the pump. Seems to me this would be much better overall and the unit is very compact. I have seen them on 70's - 80's vintage large trucks.

How about a hydro boost? Do you have power steering? If so you can tie it into the pump. Seems to me this would be much better overall and the unit is very compact. I have seen them on 70's - 80's vintage large trucks.

I am using the SSBC kit pictured and also have a reserve vacuum canister. IT works fine now - but I did have a relay fail right away. The relay itself is crappy and the weak point. I just carry an extra one around.

I have heard someone else on this site recommend a master power system.

I don't have experience with it - but I would look at that one closely. Looks like it might have a sturdier design.

I have one from MPbrakes it is loud so you want to mount it under the hood or in wheel well out of site. I put my under the dash and not the right place for it. I'm not using mine let me know if you need one we can work out a deal. Might try vac reservoir first to see if that works for you.

The SSBC one is loud too - but you sure can't hear it once I fire the engine up! Either way - I too have been looking at the hydraboost system and kinda wish I maybe went that way - though I just can't get over how weird it looks under the hood. I like things looking stock, but that is my deal...

i found the info meep and thanks for the direction. i knew i heard of it , just had to jog the grey matter. its something they use to use in trucks years ago instead of air. ssbc has a system.
