Not sure where to ask this. So hope i'm in the right place.
Ok background is:
I have a 72 charger hard top with power windows. None of which work. The drivers door window doesn't go up or down. And is stuck in the down position. I tested the motor and nada.. So I picked up a replacement at Oreilly's. Looks the same. As the original except its a little smaller "not much but some".
Looks like i'm going to have to reuse the gear and pinion from the old motor. The originals lube is all dried up.
Questions:
What kind of lube do I use on the gear and pinion? Has anyone replaced a power windo motor before? Is there any tip's one can pass along to help in the ease of such a task.
I'm pretty green and can use all the help I can get. Thanks..
