We need to have a rant section I think. Or do we? I have been working on my 68 Bees Gauges getting the new Rallye gauges installed and still after weeks of following wires and everything looks right it does not work correctly. All that I have working is the amp meter, oil pressure and temp (gas gauge not hooked up. So my interior lights do not work on the gauges(all my outside light work including the blinkers and dome). I cannot get my heater fan to work, wipers, flashers, clock, tac, so pretty much everything. I forgot my multi-meter so could not test out the wires but is there anything that runs power to all of this that may not be hooked up? I know that this should be in electrical section but it started as just a vent of frustration. Thanks Jim :angryfire:

I,m in the same boat as you..I HATE ELECTRICAL!!!

Totalled my 68 bee in 86- but seem to remember eveerything you're having trouble with is fused separately through the fuse block. Lack of lighting in cluster usually bad ground (although mine did have the switch go bad). Patience is the key word here, my friend. (although I'm more like the buzzard- Patience my ***, I'm killing somethin'!)

Orange wire from fuse box in harness is instrument lights

Without studying the schematic let me offer this: The number one issue affecting the electrical system is poor connections-period. If you are following the schematic, and all of your connections are clean and tight, you should be in good shape. Double check everything. Give all female terminals a little crimp to ensure a good bite on the male terminals. Pay particular attention to the fuse box and bulkhead connections..Good luck!

I think my rant did me some good. As I have posted on a couple of my threads I have found my problems and they are the switches. I think the dimmer switch can be saved with some cleaning as I can get it to work but not get as of yet. The wiper switch is toast and the same for the heater switch but have a new one for that. I cannot get the Tac or clock to work but that came from the old guage setup which was worse off then I thought so not sure what to do with that. All in all I can live without the tac and have just a clock I can replace it with so it was a good day.:headbang:
