Hi everyone
I have a lighting prob. My interior light under the dash stays on with the doors shut? And the rear interior lights do not work at all. This is a recent problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks bill

One thing to keep in mind, interior lights have +12 volts at all times. The various switches (headlight/dimmer switch, door switches) supply ground to the interior lights, not battery. So theoretically, the dash light that stays on has a ground to it constantly. The rear light doesn't get the ground from the various switches. They appear to be opposite issues.
1. Rear lamp - check for +12V at the socket. Then check for a ground on the other socket pin with a door open.
2. Under dash light - check for a constant ground at the socket.
If you use a volt meter on ohms to check continuity, remove all lamps. A voltmeter on ohms will read resistance through any bulb's element in the same circuit and will give you a false reading.

yup, gotta pull bulbs to isolate the shorts to ground.
I got one of these on the back burner,
bulb out for now.

Thank-you I will check
