electronic ignition tach hook-up 70rr

i bought a 70rr that already had a new mopar performance electronic CONVERSION ignition installed it also had a rebuilt tic toc tac in the car that was not hooked-up.one wire was hooked-up the blue i think so i hooked the gray wire to the neg side of coil and it will not work.im wondering if the gray wire should be hooked up some where else.not sure which model ingtion system it is but the instruction book I FOUND IN THE PAPER WORK is for three part #S P3690427 P3609428. I THINK MINE IS THE P3690427 MODEL

Those washers you are talking about are NOT rubber, they are hard fiber washers with an inner ring (not flat) on them which fits snugly inside the hole in the cover to keep the post insulated from the metal tac cover.
