Hi guys, I just wanted to throw in my 2 cents worth about the electronic conversion process. I just converted my 79 300 with the lean burn and had a hard time figuring out why I coudn't get her started after I wired her up. I'm sure it is common knowledge but when I bolted my ecu to the firewall, I didn't scrape of the paint where the bolts go thru to fasten it to the firewall and it wasn't making a good grounding connection. I removed it scraped the paint off and whamo!!!!! She fired right up!!!! Just wanted to at least post this for future DIY's to save them some grief. I also find some of the info on the process a little confusing as to where the wires from the ballast resistor go. :eusa_wall:

LOL! At least your honest a d looking out for others as well.
Good man, good tip!

What did you do for the vacuum advance? Tap the carb?
