Some may remember a few months ago i started my trusty 440 and it was making an aweful noise. I pulled the trans apart to make sure it wasnt the issue. Found nothing wrong, and now cant seem to get it back together right.
I pulled the pump, the valve body and the tail. When i bolted everything back together, niether input or output shaft will spin in any gear. Ill put up pictures in a bit.

Anybody have any pointers? Thanks gang.

You may have a washer in the wrong place.

Did you remove the bearing completely? May put back on backwards?

Pull the pump and make sure the forward clutch and direct clutch are seated all the way. If they aren't, when you bolt the pump down it smashes all together

Yes I forgot to add your hubs may not be in the clutches all the way and cause this.

Also make sure when tailshaft is installed, that the bearing is fully seated and its snap-ring is all the way in the groove.

Pulled the pump back off again and installed it for the last time. I must have been careless the first time and squished some of the hubs/clutches together. Seem to be fine now, the tailshaft and output section are all in order as well. Hopefully i can get it back behind the 440 before too long.

Thanks a lot guys.
