Years ago when I built the Charger, there was a big push to replace/rebuild the suspensions with ALL Poly bushings. I bucked the trend and used poly UCA bushings and standard rubber bushings in the lower control arms. This was in 2003.
I recently decided to change the upper bushings to the Moog offset design to achieve more positive caster. I could have used poly uppers from Pedders of Australia, but WOW they were expensive!
So now I have rubber bushings in the upper and lower control arms but still have poly in the strut rods. I am more of a road race/cornering guy so you'd think I'd have stayed with poly. Well, I also like to drive the car on long trips and I'd prefer to give up 3% of bushing stiffness to have a slightly softer ride. I run huge sway bars, 1" torsion bars, KYB shocks and relatively low profile tires. This car still cuts corners like a good housewife.
Not a fan of poly control arm bushings, mostly because they didnt fit correctly, went with new Moogs. I did use the poly k-frame and sway bar bushings and leaf spring bushings.
