Im a little curious and could use some feedback. Is there any drawback from using rubber motor mounts AND a engine plate together? I don't want to use a mid plate, yet I still want something between the trans mount and engine plate.

The motor mounts would do virtually nothing if the front is supported by a solid plate so there would really be no benefit in using them unless you used solid mounts.

Maybe he is trying to keep the engine in place when doing frequent transmission removals.

I know the rubber mounts would do nothing with a front plate, I was just told that the drive train would need some kind of support between the front plate and the trans mount, and I don't want to use a mid plate.
