got a good hook on a 71 360 with 70 340x heads. i have a 72 charger that had a 318. should drop right in correct. i know i need a flexplate and torque converter and that should be it right?

It will drop right in. Get the B&M flex plate and you can use the 318 converter. The drivers mount will need a couple washers on one bolt as well since the 360 has a narrower rear mounting boss then the 318 does.

and on that note there is a 77 motor home sitting in the junk yard by my house that has a 440 w/ trans. what should i look for with this motor and what will i absolutly need to put it in my charger. i know the one guy who works there and he had told me that the owners of the motor home drove it in gave them the keys and title and left. i know i could get a good deal on it but i dont know what to expect out of the motor

First off make sure it's a regular production 440 and not a industrial 413. You also need to check to see if it has a long shaft tranny or short shaft truck tranny. Motor homes were built on many different chassis classes and had many variables. Pic's of the motor, water pump housing, heads on the exhaust side and the manifolds, oil pan and tranny would help as these are the areas that need to be checked
