Six pack R/T, Washington DC craigslist, the six pack was added after, but it is still worth way more than advertised. Sorry my f*cking pad won't let me paste the link :icon_cry:, if it is real it is a great buy for somebody

Oh it is being advertised at $5000

Somebody needs to nab this quick! It has a non-rallye dash - wouldn't an R/T have one?

A REAL R/T -- 1970 Dodge Coronet R/T, 440, six-pack, 4-speed B body - $5000 (Overlea, MD)
Same owner since 1971 -- health forces sale. 440/375hp U-code car originally, the six-pack was added back in the day. The VIN is WS23U. Was originally a 727 automatic, changed it to a 4-speed, the motor in it is from a 67 GTX convertible. Originally a Vitamin C colored car, it's been 30 years since it's been painted. 3.23 rear, car was never exposed to salt, original tachometer car, 150mph speedo, 48k original miles on it. Never wrecked, motor was last run 2 years ago, comes with another set of Mopar rally wheels -- (14x6 set and 15x7 set). The center carb will likely need an accelerator pump, otherwise the motor should be ready to run. Comes with an extra passenger door that's been in his basement for 25 years. From what I can see, the metalwork under the car looks quite good. The car is sitting so low it's hard to confirm, but you can see that the floors and rails look great. The primary metal deterioration seems to be the rear quarters and around the back window.

If the ad is still up, the car is still available. $5k as-is, where is. I am listing this for a close friend, so no tire-kickers -- serious buyers only please. I will make the appointment to view the car for you -- he will take cash only.

Why does this stuff always wind up being halfway across the country!

Why does this stuff always wind up being halfway across the country!

No kidding, i'd dip into my savings for that if it were closer. What a car, hope one of our guys gets to take it home.

Great deal for someone and Rallye Dash was an option in R/Ts. It's got a 68-9 AM/FM thumbwheel also

Hocus Pocus. I emailed them. Lets wait and see.

It is rough but with some TLC it can once again roam the streets looking for a fight. I do have a concern with the rear glass area on the drivers side. Typical of rusting out the Dutchman Panel. GYC's would love a project like this....

:iamwithstupid: or it's all the way across the whole country...LOL... I don't have the extra $$$ money anyway, but if I was allot closer to Baltimore Maryland area, I'd consider looking at it at-least, cash in some stock... It has allot of potential... But it also needs some rust repairs thou, but some TLC it could be a decent project maybe... I love the multi-colored ol' 70's shag carpeting too... Hope it goes to a good home... We'll see if it a real deal or not, soon enough...

The shag carpet alone is worth the asking price! Is that a CB radio under the dash?

It does seem to be low priced compared to many you see, but still, you could put 60K and a lot of hours into it and still have a 35K car. My perspective on such finds has changed somewhat now that the realities of cost of a restoration have set in.

I dont know about deal of a lifetime either. I would call it underpriced, but not by much. Its not the original engine or trans. Yeah, the six pack is a plus as is the four speed, but really its priced fair. I would be the first to tell the guy get real if he wanted 15 grand instead of 5. Its a refreshing change to see a car actually priced to sell. Not some barrett-jackson watching dreamer looking for a payday. I have a feeling its the same guy who had the purple 69 charger that was posted about 2 weeks ago. He was in overlea too.

That thing is rusty as heck! But as mentioned it's not $15K. Figure $15K just to fix all the rust and paint it.

Well i don't have a return email or a phone call as of this morning. I figure Rusty will snag it.

Hay I guesI figured it was asomething of valiue, given that most people would kill to own it, the six pack alone is worth half of what the car costs, I just wanted to tell everybody about the really strange price on the car, I hope sombody is gonna restore it
