This topic came up on the GTS site and I made the below post in response regarding the availability of the tips on a 67 GTS. It prompted me to think of the availability of them on B bodies expressly the R/T and GTX.
Read below and repond with any info that can be backed up with something like advertisements or Data Book info.
These entire cars are somewhat of a mystery. They do not have a specific V.I.N. model number as they do beginning in 1968, so they are obviously somewhat of a "package car" as was the R/T and GTX. Although the R/T and GTX in 67 have a specific sales code used on the broadcast sheet to identify them ALONG WITH there specific V.I.N. model number. I have never found any package sales code for a 67 GTS.
Attached is link to an ad for the 67 GTS that pretty much sums it up. "GT + 383" The ad does not list any reference to exhaust tips. You can bet that if they had them the ad men would be tauting it.
I am not sure about the exhaust tips on a 67 GTS but from what I have been able to find I don't believe they were even offered let a lone std. In fact, I think the only Mopar that had chrome tips even offered were on the GTX, possibly as standard on the Hemi cars and optional (or maybe standard) on the other 67 GTXs. I don't believe that they were even available on the 67 R/T. In fact, I have never found a sales code for the exhaust tips as a stand alone item. So, my thought is that they were std on all 67 GTXs except probably Califonia cars.
The second link is for a 67 GTX which shows the chrome exhaust tip on a car without an Hemi emblem. i have not got or ever seen a 67 Plymouth Dealer Data Book.
