thanks in advance for any input you guys may have. my question is, Who makes the direct replacement pistol grip shifter that slides into the shifter mechanism and is released by sliding a feeler gauge into the mechanism to release it. I can find 10,000,000 handles that bolt in but no slip ins. I really need this part. otherwise I will have to buy a new shifte mechanism that accepts the bolt in type shifter handle. thanks again, Lenny

Ebay, Hurst. If you can't find what you need, I have 2 rebuilt shifter mechanism's that accept the bolt in style handle and would make you a smoking hot deal on them.......really smoking, lol!!

I could be wrong, but I believe all 69 Hurst mechanisms are slip in - and since the pistol grip didnt come out until 1970 (with a bolt in on a revised shifter) this is the reason you arent seeing any pistol grips in this configuration. As 5.7 stated you can convert the 69 versions to bolts ins and then get a pistol grip to attach.

Brewers has the push in handles give them a call

As far as I know, nobody makes the push in style new. But as previously stated, the original style is not hard to find.
