I posted last month that my 9 yrar old Grandson Logan got his Jr. Dragster license,
making him the fourth Generation of Irving Family Racing.
Despite his inexperience we entered the Div. 7 Jr. Dragster Division Finals.
We wanted to get him some seat time for next year. we did not expect to win any rounds.

The best talented and experienced young racers from tracks all over the Western states
were at that race = As far as the eye could see. Most of them with cars way newer and at least
several time the price of his elderly starter car. His was one of the very slowest at the entire track
and we do not know much about Jr. dragster racing = Not our wheelhouse.

Well........Logan won the race today and came home with his first Wally! Many if not most people
race their entire careers and never succeed in winning one. He dodged at least 3 racers with .01
or better light by pushing them out on the finish. In the final, Logan ran an 11.482 on a 11.48 to push
his talented and experienced opponent to breakout.

He has a giant Mopar on the back of his Fire Jacket.

He is a kid that loves Mopars BUT never liked to go fast - period.

After his first pass in his car, he came out with a Grin as big as the Western Skies!

I am very Blessed to have been able to see him race.

God is Good........................Always!
Praise to his Holy Name.

Pictures coming.

Congrats little brother

He is in training for the 318 wagon. Catch a bullet in Your teeth.

I'm waiting to see the fleet of cars when the younger siblings start in.

That’s pretty dam kick ***! Congrats to all! I love seeing the youth in the hobby!

He's definitely learning from one of the the most skilled guys out there with alot of years of experience!

Well, Sunday they ran the Team competition of all the different Tracks against each other.

Logan went more rounds than anyone else in LVMS's 6 to 9 Class
than any of his teammates. However, he met up again with the young man
that he beat in the Finals on Saturday. His competition put up a .01 light
just like the day before. We dialed Logans car too hard and he could not push
him out on the finish like the day before and got beat.

I am good at reading the wind and weather station and predicting all of our
cars. However, these little things are hard for me to get a handle on the dialing.
If someone Breaks Wind in the stands - the little thing will slow down a tenth.

It appears the wind does not affect them very much at all, that confuses me because
they are such low HP and on the track for what seems forever.

Jesus is Lord of the Raging Jungle, just as much as he is of the quiet Valleys.

Thank You!
I am SO Very Blessed!!

I know where my Treasure is and it is not on this Earth.

BTW: Logan had a .01 light in the finals that he won.
I do not know how you can cut a light with a 3 second
lawnmower engine. We did put him in deep after the first
time trial.
