FCA Hyundai Merger

There's some history there.

Hyundai has a better street rep than Fiat.

...and the most common car found in junk yards of the 90's- Kia, is now climbing into the top of the respectability list thanks to being bought by Hyundai.

Yuckkkkkkkkkkk! Damn it would be nice for someone worth a **** to get their hands on Chrysler.

More speculation.

Better than Kia? My X#1 just bought a new Tucson and I don't care for it. It shifts kinda oddly (almost sounds like a stick shift in the lower gears) and it shudders on take off. The AC works great though.

Never good when the best feature is the A/C :rofl:

FCA doesn't have a well-selling, reliable compact car (i.e. Fiat/Dart), which Hyundai/Kia would give them. If they didn't touch the muscle cars and trucks (their bread and butter), then maybe this wouldn't be so bad, especially if the Korean car sales could support the Mopar R&D, etc.

Regardless, as far as branding goes, I can't imagine they would change much there.

I have a 2014 sonata limited it has 52000 miles on it and runs like a top . In 03 we bought a brand new Elantra gt with 3 miles on it . It now has 348xxx and has never had any major repairs just change the timing belt and oil as needed and it's happy!

My wife bought an 04 Elantra GT (GT gave you floor mats and rear disk brakes) new.

2.0 "world" engine that Chrysler had a hand in designing.

Now has 170,000 miles and worst repair has been shift solenoid @ 165 bucks.

27.5 MPG when new, and now 25 after 10 of those 14 years stop and go severe city short trip driving.

...and I fit with decent headroom for my long spine 6'3" build.

count how many kia sorentos and souls you see on the road

this is our local kia spokesmodel-

So does that mean Hyundai is interested in CNH as well?
Perhaps their interested in the Ag section of FCA more than the rest

So......our Mopars will be built in South Korea & shipped to the USA to bypass the steel/aluminum tariff? My wife's Hyundai runs well.....and slow ......like 17sec. flat quarter miles, but overall seems like a good car.

Had high hopes with Fiat. Will that did not happen. Why would Hyundai want Chrysler and affiliates now?
