Since the age of 14 all I could think about was cars and how I could have more. By the time I was 18 I had two 340 Dusters and a Road Runner. I worked 2-3 jobs at a time and all of the overtime I could get to have what I wanted. At 55 I am still in the same boat and will be putting off retirement to feed my addiction. Am i the only one that has this problem, I think it has made me who I am today. Who else feels this way and how far do you go to feed the need?

Simply.......you're not the only one! I still take on second jobs to earn money to put into the addiction. It's a much better addiction than the others I can think of!

I still buy what I want for my builds, even if I have to save a little longer

Your for sure not alone

It's an addiction, for sure...

I'm pretty damn sure I'd be a wealthy man {monetarily}
if I never got into drag racing or cars in general,
I'd probably "not be the person I am today" either...

I have it under "somewhat better control",
than I did as a teen/youth or into my 40's,
at one time the only reason I worked is for $$$ to buy the cars,
used to have 5 or more at a time...

But now after growing older & wiser...

I'm much more subdued, but my aging lifestyle, my families needs, my funds/icome level,
paying off all the school debts, my being semi-retired since I was 38 y/o 1997
{I own all my cars trucks houses outright thou, no house payments or car payments ever anymore}
& my much smaller garage, makes for a few decisions, that only fits 2 cars now...

I don't like my cars outside in harsh conditions...
I do have a couple of car ports also, but just ol'boat, RV & Dually stored/parked in those...

All those factors, helps those hard decisions now too...

BUT
I still want 1 of every cool car, especially the muscle car era....

It's a sickness, I truly love cars, gearhead thru & thru
but family, funds & responsibilities have made me less prone to impulse buying now...
