Fender repair

The lower rear part of fender on passenger side is rusted out on my 1972 Coronet. Haven't been able to find any company that makes the lower patch panel. Used fenders are in worse shape than mine. So here's my question. Looking at the 1971 1972 Dodge Charger lower part of the rear fender behind tire. It seams to have close to the same shape. Just wondering if the lower patch panels for a Charger would work? Or should I get my eyes checked again.

Try calling http://www.shermanparts.com.
They could probably tell you if they are close/useable. I am fairly certain they have them for a 71-72 Charger.

Try sending the guy a private message - that way you can be sure to reach him. With this old of a thread he may never see the post. I see the last time he posted on FBBO was January 2018.

It's been a log time since I've been on here. I haven't tried it yet but I'm planning to. I'm also looking into the lower part of the rear quarter patch panels that they make for the 72 Charger. They look like they have the same basic shape as my 72 Coronet

You can see my build Just go to Project Empty Wallet. I've been working on rebuilding the sail panel area on the left side. What I thought would be a quick fix has turned into an ordeal. Found lots of rust and crusty metal and old body filler. Haven't posted pics yet Right now I have the power steering box out of it. I had it rebuilt a few years ago. In May I was backing it out of my driveway and it poured fluid out the shaft seal. I sent it to Firm Feel to fix the seal and do a stage III conversion to it.
