Can someone please point me in the right direction for a site with good info on decoding a fender tag? Or can someone here pick it apart for me?

Thanks, Cash

WH23 is a Coronet 440 2dr hardtop. Tag layout looks like 1966. H4X in a Coronet is Black Vinyl bench that year I think. SS1 is "Creme" for that year I believe. B is a black stripe, if it lays under the "T"?.

A/B 5/1 is a 361. C5 is an automatic trans. E1 may be the cleaner air package. G1 is probably a "basic group" but I don't have docs as to what that includes. R1 is and AM radio. Y6 is a black vinyl top.

There is an incredible amount of information to review and enjoy at Hamtramck Historical to reference, among others.

Thats great. Thank you. Vinyl top is long gone, the rest is accurate to what is there and what I was told about it. Where would the black stripe have been on the car originally?
