Hi all,

I'm assembling the front of my 69' Charger and noticed an unusual amount of space between the PS of the grill and fender nose. I did not do the body work on this car and the shop that did closed long ago.

The DS gap looks good to me.

I was told both fenders are original but who really knows.

Is it possible the splash shields (and surrounding seals) behind the headlights were tacked in
a bit too wide pushing the fender out?

Can I give the nose of the fender a good push in and see if it tightens up?

Or is this just par for these cars?

Thanks,

-Dave

could have / should have been corrected prior to paint........ this is why pre-paint mock up is always necessary

Correct it could have been made better....but many factory cars fit similar to that...

Thanks for the input I will try to correct it but if I can't it's not the end of the world.
