Well I got the Atomic Wedgie running tonight about 9:15pm. I don't like to run the car that late but I have been waiting to hear this thing run for 6 months. I started messing with it this morning at 9 am and if it could go wrong it did!
I only had to add fluids and start it. HA! HA! HA! I was putting the oil in and the drain plug wasn't tight so it was leaking. (easy fix) Put fuel in the cell and the line was leaking going to the filter. (easy fix) but then noticed that the cell fittings were seeping fuel(still need to fix that). I was making sure that I had the fan and H2O pump wired right and everything worked. I then hit the switch to see if the fuel pump worked and NOTHING. Checked all the wires and found out that the ground was loose. (easy fix). So I flipped the switch to test the fuel pump again and hey it worked, checked the line/fittings for leaks(none) but then all of a sudden fuel was spraying everywhere in the engine compartment. Come to find out that my BRAND NEW Jegs billet fuel line had a pin hole in it(WTF). The closest parts store is 45 mins away. Called them and they had one so in the car I go. 2 hours later I had the part on. Double check everything and now ready to turn the key. So here goes nothing and I do mean NOTHING. The car didn't turn over. The ignition switch is bad. I have had trouble with it before so after some time messing with it I got the car started. Sounded good but like I stated earlier it was late so I shut it down. I noticed a small drip from a trans line but will mess with it on Friday. Jeg's is sending me a shipping label to replace the cell and refund my $ for the fuel line so that is covered but it sucks that I even had to deal with this. I will head to town to get a new ignition switch(hopefully). Need to get the Dana put in next week and get a driveshaft. Trying to get it to the track on Oct 8 so I will keep U posted.
