I made it to the Mopar race and show at MIR raceway yesterday and got to race in the NSS race that was around 35 cars in the NSS race that were all Mopars !
And I want to thank Mitch "68Chicken" who came to my house and towed me the 2 hr ride one way to the race and home. And he would not take any money from me for doing it. He is a a true Mopar man and a first class act. I would not have got out to the track this year without his help and I really thank him very much. He is one reason I love this hobby as he went way out of his way to help me and I thank him very much. I do drive to my local tracks but this track is about 2 hrs from home and I was afraid to race that far from home without a tow in case I broke. We had alot of fun as I finally got to race my brother in his 64 in a time run and someone got a pic for me. All the years we have raced this is the first pic I have got of his 64 and my 63 together. Course he is a little faster then me but I got a nice jump on him when I redlited before his redlite. I ran 10.87 to his 10.24. My car ran average as no new best but it ran solid 10.80's all day and I never lifted the hood all day racing as I love low maintance hotrods. I made 4 passes (2 time runs and 2 rounds) and ran from 10.85 to 10.89. My 60's were jumping around and off a little but the car run solid and never missed a beat. I won the first round and then went red in round two against a very nice black 63 Dodge B/SA car. I had a blast and again I thank Mitch for all he did. Ron
