I'm looking for recommendations on heat/sound insulation for the firewall of my 69 Coronet. It has carpet and no other padding. Been getting very uncomfortable riding in it lately. Comments and recommendations on making or buying one would be appreciated..........james

You might go to a heating & AC shop and take a look at there duct liner. It has both acoustic & insulating values.

I was going to say that dynamat stuff is great, expensive, but far better than the felt liner! Plus, it has sound deadening qualities too, or, was it the insulation qualities? Oh well, I think it has both.

Me, I'm a broke white boy. I went to Lowe's and got some stuff called Peel N Seal. Works pretty good and it's pretty inexpensive.
