Considering a move from carbs to FI. Considering Fitech. Who's running the system. Any input is appreciated.

I have 2 on 5.7 hemi's{were carbed}not much drive time on either one, already had 1 fuel command center go bad.other than that pretty simple.the have a facebook page.

Go Holley Terminator or Sniper, you will be pleased, I am.

And what's the differance between the two?
Sniper is basically the same thing, except their unit is limited to 600hp for now, their 8 injector version is supposedly coming out this spring/summer. Terminator is not self learning I don’t think, but fully programmable with custom fuel tables etc. I went with the fitech 1200 unit it’s self learning or programmable, not ran yet so can’t teally speak on it, but I would not run a fuel command center if you decide
To go fitech, a lot of problems.

Just got my HP ecu back from Holley and I’ll be downloading a new fuel table tomorrow and playing around a bit, well my will be doing the tuning and me watching/learning.

Installed four so far and have one on my '64 Fairlane. Will be dumping my MSD for a FiTech Meanstreet this winter as the MSD does not have the configurations I want. These are solid units at a decent price and their tech support is very good.

I run fitech on my race car. Works great. The more you learn about it the better it gets

Only thing is its not happy with the two step so i stopped using it for now. I have a workaround ill try next season

I run the inline fuel pump with the corvette bypass filter right by my fuel cell so you dont have to run a long return line

Terminator is self learning and fully programmable with the free upgrade to V4.

Plenty of people having problems with fitech and carbs, most don’t follow proper instructions.

But.. 'they' said it was 'bolt-on-and-go'.. 'self-learning'.. 'plug-and-play'..
If you replacing a carb with an injection system its not like changing a headlight.

Everyone of these systems have pages and pages of problems and mostly due to lack of understanding. Its newtechnology so its rightly so. Its a big learning curve here fellas.

Just upgrading the fuel system and the timing system can be a daunting task.

Don’t listen to the naysayers but go in with your eyes open

The only FiTech I would be interested in;

I'm sure tuning would be a nightmare however . . .

I've run 2 FiTech units on my crossram for over a year. The folks who are going to have trouble with it are the same folks who have trouble with carburetors. I just saw a post from a member who was looking for suggestions for a bolt-on and go carburetor. They don't exist...unless you're willing to live with a bad tune.
If you enjoy working on your car and are willing to do some research and READ directions, you probably will be okay. FiTech's tech service is getting much better as they catch up with the demand for their product.
dart4forte; If you search this site, FABO and FiTech's site, you will get an idea what's involved from people who have actually installed and used the system. There is a lot of useless repeating of bad information from people who have never opened a hood, let alone worked on an engine. JMO

That goes with any EFI system. Just loaded my tune today into my Holley Terminator ecu and with a few adjustments, got it purring like a kitten. Still need to get more time/load on the engine but my eyes aren’t watering anymore at idle.
