Hi, I am looking to install a Flaming River tilt column in my '64 Belvedere wagon. I have checked out the Flaming River site, but they don't have one to fit the car. One of their universal columns will work, but I need to figure out how to measure it correctly. Has anyone put a FR or Ididit column in their '62-65 B body? If so, do you have the correct dimensions for me to give them? I looked at their website that shows how to measure, but I must be having a stupid attack because I can't seem to figure it out.

Thanks!

Sorry I can't answer your question but take a serious look at Ididit columns. I bought a tilt Flaming River column and I'm not that happy with it. It feels like its Chinese made. When you tilt the wheel all the way up, the car won't start. Tech support says to lower the wheel, then start it. The levers for the turn signals seem cheap and they don't stay in the turn position with the slightest steering wheel movement. I've never purchased a Ididit column but have heard great review about them. They cost a bit more but I'd pay more for better quality.

I purchased one of their stainless columns for my 64 Sportfury from Summit Racing back in 2008. I purchased FR 20006CP which is the 33" long 2" diameter column. I had it painted after I mocked it in. Everything installed well and I still like the quality. I don't know if engine choice makes a difference but I have a gen II crate hemi in mine. Hope this helps.
