good morning gentlemen. I have been taking my 65 to the track a little and am catching the bug again. I was wanting to put an aftermarket(auto) shifter on the floor and lose the column shift for racing. I've already changed my car over to a later trans so no cable stuff is involved. I found a member here who is selling a floor shift steering column collar and the screws, etc. needed to change it over, for 20 bucks! Problem is he hasn't been on the site in months. I was curious if any of you here have converted your steering column in the same way? Do I have the needed fasteners already in my column shift column? Easy swap? Anybody have one for sale? Lol! As always, I am very appreciative for any help/advice. Thanks guys! I need to get to the track!!

Or, does anyone know if a 65 a-body collar will fit on my b-body column?

Yes it will,A to B. You also can modify your piece.. I have cut off the arm mount, and JB weld a plate to cover the hole from the inside. The JB weld is sand-able,little primer and paint..done.

Thanks Darter6! I want to change the pieces over completely so I can mount the tach there. I appreciate the info!
